Earlier than planned and after a construction phase of two years, the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe opened its doors on April 3rd, 2006. The four star 185 room superior hotel in a prime location of the city centre is considered to set an example. Feuring developed the concept that is in line with the market and advised on the architectural planning.

With 64.5 m² per guestroom, the area ratio is economically efficient and bears in mind the requirements, business and conference guests as well as tourists have of their accommodation. Feuring was engaged to sell the property from the project developer, Baywobau Dresden Baubetreuung GmbH, to an exit investor and was also responsible for negotiating the lease agreement with Steigenberger Hotels AG.

The hotel is a prestigious centre piece and one of the first buildings to open its doors on the historical Neumarkt right near the famous Dresden Frauenkirche. Its impressive façade was reconstructed according to plans for the historical Hotel de Saxe that stood here from 1786 to 1888. The new building has also created space for a number of retail and gastronomy outlets.
